Equipment

  • Small pot
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Measuring spoons
  • Spoon for stirring
  • Your favorite mug

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh Common Dandelion flower heads  (mostly yellow petals for a milder flavor)
  • 2 cups Water
  • ¼ tsp Powdered ginger
  • pinch Cinnamon
  • 1-2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1-2 tsp Sugar (Optional)

Instructions

  • Rinse the dandelion flowers thoroughly and trim away the green base for a milder flavor. A few green bits are perfectly fine and will add a little extra depth to the tea.
  • Add the dandelion flowers, powdered ginger, cinnamon, and 2 cups of water to a small pot. Bring everything to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer.
  • Lower the heat and simmer gently for about 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let steep another 10–15 minutes.
  • Strain the tea into your mug and stir in the lemon juice and sugar while warm.
